Bike Polo

The Fréd Festival brings hardcourt bike polo back to Belfast.
Bike polo has a long illustrious tradition – the first game was held in Wicklow in 1891 and it was a test event in the 1908 Olympics. Hardcourt bike polo is a faster moving version of traditional grass polo.
There are places for 4 teams of 3 players.
Equipment provided – bring your bike and helmet.

Fréd Night Ride, Quiz & BBQ.

Meeting at Belfast Bicycle Workshop at 7.30pm and leaving @8.00pm for a tour of Belfast’s hidden public art.
Arriving back at Belfast Bicycle Workshop for 9.00pm (ish) for a BBQ and Bike Quiz
ROUTE: Less than 10miles at a artisanal pace.
Lights, helmets are recommended and follow the Highway Code please.

The Fréd Awards are voted for by the cycling public in an open vote and are awarded to people who put an enormous amount of effort into campaigning and working to build a better cycle culture for everyone but go unrecognised.
